Taking Flight

When the muse tells me his story,
it’s usually late into the night,
and so I chase after him
hoping to catch him
as my dreams take wondrous
flight

And when the words start to flow
there’s nothing I can do
to stop them,
and in the morning
when the sun rises,
it starts all over again.

Daily Prompt: In My Mind, All the Time (A Nonet)

When and where do you do your best thinking? In the bathroom? While running? Just before bed, or first thing in the morning? On the bus? Why do you think that is?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us THE BEST.

I envy writers, she said to me
For there’s never a dull moment
inside your mind, all the time
thinking, plotting, seeing
things that only you
can see – till it’s
on paper
and set
free.
