So My Book Is Finished…

…and I love it!

And while it’s put a halt to my poetry typing of late (plus that small piece of paper isn’t conducive to long pieces, just saying…), it’s a brief hiatus so I can get Everything She Ever Wanted out into the world.  I even have the paperback proofs to prove it and while there are a few tweaks still to be made (All that text sure is very close to the edge!), all I can say is that I’m in love with Harlow James and Dax Drexel, the muses who have taken over my creative mind the past summer.

The ebook is scheduled for release on October 18 but the paperback will be available way before that – I have to proof the copies on hand first.  If you’re wondering what it’s all about, check out the little teaser I made:

If you’re on Goodreads, it would mean the world to me if you could add it to your Want To Read list and if you’re on Social Media, a Thunderclap would be awesome. And if you’d like to join the Facebook Release party and win copies of the book and gift cards, I’d love to have you!

A Poetic Cover Reveal

No, I did not fall off the face of the earth
though I did disappear for awhile
if only to dot every i and cross every t
for there’s a book I was getting ready to let fly

It took some time to get things right
And I still don’t do things in their right order
but if you’d like to find out what’s kept me busy of late,
here’s my book – with its brand new cover!

Kidding aside, I just officially gave my book a whole new look via a brand new cover, and I couldn’t be happier.  There have been so many lessons learned in this journey called self-publishing – and I’m still learning – on how to release a book properly.  In fact, writing is the easiest part – and I mean it – E-A-S-I-E-S-T.

I’m not saying I’m a genius wordsmith but when it comes to making sure that your story is seen and read (i.e. purchased), there’s so much to do, and even then, with so many people telling you of many more things to do, the work of promoting your work is never done. It also takes away from more writing.

But the end result is still there – a book with my name on it – a sweet chick-lit with romance and a bit of mystery to keep you occupied for a few hours.
