A few days ago, I found a box filled with poetry I wrote in the late 90’s to early 2000′s. It’s interesting to see how I don’t write poetry like this anymore, and so I’m putting them up as I find them (and trying my best not to edit them to death) and as a reminder to myself of how I used to see the world once upon a time.
Loved your ‘Boxed Poetry Series’, Morrighan’s Muse! My favourite was ‘Muse’ and ‘Fool’s Moon’, but I really liked all of them. I found ‘Heart’ and ‘Fringes of the Norm’ very inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Hope you can post more poetry that you wrote in the ’90s.
Thank you for reading my poetry 🙂 I guess I write better poetry when I’m miserable but it’s during those times that we can maybe dig in deeper into ourselves than when we’re too happy to do so.
I still have that box of poetry from the 90’s, though some of the poems make me cringe – mostly because of the memories, and that desire to self-edit myself.
Thanks for sharing your poetry, Morrighan’s Muse. I agree with you that we probably contemplate deeper when we are going through tough times. I hope you can find more poetry from you box, which you can share. I would love to read them.
