About Me

Morrigan
Found on Tumblr so long ago. If you know the source, please let me know.

I’m Liz, the poet and blogger behind Morrighansmuse.com and author of eleven books ranging from women’s fiction to contemporary and erotic romance, as well as erotica and dark romance.

But I haven’t been this prolific. I stopped writing for almost ten years, finally returning in 2012, two years after my best friend lost her battle with ovarian cancer and after my son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

That’s when Morrighansmuse was born, a name derived from the Celtic deity of war that includes the three manifestations of woman – the maiden, the mother and the crone. Pretty intense stuff, I know, but I needed a reminder never to let anyone stop me from writing again. The “Muse” is, of course, the characters who populate my stories and poetry, the people who inspire me, break my heart, the ones who make me smile that secret smile when no one is looking. They’re the ones who pull me together inside when everything around me is falling apart.

While you’re here, don’t miss my Blogging A to Z challenge where I tackle Old Manila, Philippines. One of my all-time favorite challenges, it taught me so much about my home country and I still cannot believe the wealth of information within those posts that I need to read up on again and update five or so years later. There’s just so much to learn and pass on and I hope that others will realize that once upon a time, Old Manila was indeed the Pearl of the Orient just as it used to be called before the city was destroyed during its liberation from the Japanese during World War II.

    1. Thank you for nominating me for the Sunshine and WordPress Family awards! Erm, what the hell is it? 😀

It’s my first nomination, too, and I guess I have to prepare my speech now and get ready for my close up, too!

Now off to read what I need to do to collect my prize 🙂

      1. I really just wanted to acknowledge people who have made my online life a happier place – I love your posts and comments. These awards were passed to me so I thought you were a worthy recipient to pass them on to.

  1. Thanks for liking my post. Maybe I should follow the daily prompts too…I am sometimes lacking in inspiration. And by sometimes I mean “often”. All the best with your blog! 🙂

    1. Oh definitely not, James!

I’ve just been working on some graphics on my laptop, trying to decide whether to take the tree down and finally put away the christmas decorations – among other interesting developments in the fangirl front, and there’s some writing that I need to do as well to fulfill my goal of completing my novel for 2014 🙂

I’ve played your playlist while doing most of the above – and thank you for the choice of songs you picked out! I love we can make playlists on youtube and just watch and listen as we do stuff around the house or while losing ourselves on the internet doing stuff 🙂

  2. Hello
Thank you so much for following my Blog and liking the post. I appreciate your visit and any suggestion or opinion in future as well.
    May Allah bless you ameen

  3. Thank you for the follow. I wish you all the best on your novel. Being from the Philippines, I am intrigued as to what the plot of your tale will be.

    1. You register at the nanowrimo.org website, upload your document during the Nanowrimo writing month and when it’s 50K or higher (whatever your word count goal is) then you get the winner tag thingy to download 🙂

Got something to say? Spill the beans!
