I can’t be too lazy today
for I’ve got a book to write
it’s needing some major attention
bugging me to finish it day and night

I’ve already written a 100k words
what more can one do?
oh, but there’s this thing called editing
and it’s all making me sad and blue

for there’s also this thing called ex-po-si-tion
even I had to to look it up
it’s a bit about telling too much instead of showing
and apparently, how overflowing is thy cup

And so I’m stuck with rewriting
starting with Chapter One
Even all the naughty bits will have to wait
till all the darn exposition is gone.
