Often, our blogs have taglines. But what if humans did, too? What would your tagline be?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us ADVERTISING.
My tagline would be so simple. It would just say: Work in Progress.
Whether it’s the clutter in my house that needs to be picked up (“sorry, honey, I was just about to clean up”), all the unfinished knitting projects hidden away in bags, cubbies and boxes (“oh, look! here’s another awesome project I can start!”), the cooking half done because I got distracted by a character arc that popped into my head while stirring the pot, and so much more in the haphazard disaster that is my life, I’m simply a Work In Progress.
And when I’m not feeling sorry for myself for not being as organized as I’d like to be, as perfectly patient a mother to a special needs child that I should be, or be successful in everything that I want to be at this point in my life, when I look at that tagline that hovers just above my head that says Work In Progress, I simply smile and shrug and move on with my day. Because, really, life it too short to be perfect.
And I’m OK with that.
